Day One on the Max Muscle Plan

I was doing so well on my Vegan raw food diet. Then my husband and i took a trip to visit his mother in the nursing home. I felt so sick and weak. later I ate 1/2 cup of rice and a little chicken and lots of veggies. Oh got my second wind. I decided then that I needed to make my diet easier. I saw Max Muscle ad on TV and thought, Yes this is it! My goal is to lose fat and be at a better weight! plus if I win the Max Muscle contest I will win 25,000 dollars. YES!!

The plan OHI in MarinA Hidden Retreat

We use the philosphy of Ann Wigmore


teaching Dr. Ann Wigmore's Living Food Lifestyle through our one, two, three week educational programs. The program provides practical experience in hands-on workshops which teaches planting, composting, sprouting, harvesting, food preparation, detoxifying the body and others. During your stay we also integrate areas such as Pilaties, breathing, self-esteem and skin care. The program fee includes accommodations, all classes, three daily meals, a morning and afternoon snack.


The Answer


Somthing happened while I was at OHI. I started to enjoy life! It felt safe to feel! Not only was I working in room 78 I was also the greeter. All guest would check in on sunday. My job was to weclome them and give a clip board. I use to help with luggage and give them fresh fruit. I love greating all the visitors. Every week we had a new set of guest, many times I would greet celeberties. There was somthing so good about OHI, the program helped save lives and so many wanted to be saved! It wasent long after that OHI offerd me a job. I worked at the front desk and reservations for three years. I rented a little house in San Diego, furnished it. Road my bike to work everyday. I get to work at 7:00 am. to 3:00. After work I would go running in LaJolla at times up to 5 miles. La Jolla California has the most beautiful and majestic coastline and the finest weather in the world. On the weekend I would go hicking in Cowells Mountain. There are lots of birds, rabbits, and natural flora and fauna. The best frature of this hike is the views of North San Diego County form the trail. At the peak you are affotded a magificent view of all of San Diego County, and when you get to the top the butterflys were as big as two of my hands put together. The only problem is I was lonely. I met my husband and knew he was the one. So we got married and I moved to San Francisco. I dident realize how much I loved San Diego! Still miss it so much! My husband is the sweetest man! and I have cutest step son who loves me! My dream would be to move back with my hubby and son. Although my son's mom lives in San Francisco.

THe Promise to you and to myself, as of this day!


After taking my body measurements Bust 50, waist 50, just above waist 52, just below belly button 51, Hips 55. I promise to do a raw food vegan diet for one year. This includes not eating any sugar and include exercise everyday.

Main Menu

At any time Pumpkin seeds/ vegetable as much as you want.

8:00 am Oat meal/Almond milk/fruit

One half cup of raw soaked oatmeal-blended and 1/2 almond milk


10:00 am - SNACK – Green smoothieMix with water or
Frozen Berry’s blended.

12:00 Big Salad, Pate, sprouts, sprouted lentils, avocado(Blended soaked sunflower seeds with lemon,salt)

2:00 Green Protein shake

4:00 fruit/peanut butter


5:00 Seed cheese with veggies and sprouts. Will list recipies.


7:00 Water/ Apple


I couldent believe I lost 100 pounds in three months!


Moved in with my parents in 1999 after a 15 year marriage. When I was married my weight was 108. After 15 years my weight was 260 pounds. It was nice being with my mom again. I was the middle child and was always competing for my mama's affection. I have such a sweet mother. I was determined to lose the weight, I lost some only to gain it back. I moved to Santa Monica and became so lost there. My weight was out of control. I heard of a place in San Diego that you could stay at and work in exchange for the program. I applied and was excepted to stay as a worker for thee months in 2003. I remember how easy it was when I lived O.H.I. I would wake up at 7:00 am and get my 2.ounces of wheat grass. Ahh, it was coffee for me, I loved so much that I bought a machine. Then I would walk down a hill in the fresh morning air to go to my assignment RM 78. It was an advanced raw food prep class. We would train guest who had been at OHI three weeks. My job was to help set up the class and help during class, including myself there were five workers setting up the class. Room 78 was at one time an apartment with the most beautiful windows. I use to love looking out the window while washing dishes! The workers would bring the best CD's. I learned about Sarah Mc Lachlan Life was good!! Right before class one worker would retrieve the food from the main kitchen and take it to room 78. We would get breakfast for everyone. A slice of watermelon with Cinnamon as a snack for later. Hypo meal it consisted of seed cheese and lots of veggies. Room 78 was stocked with lots of seasonings. We would put so many extras, cumin,onion, cilantro, dehydrated pumpkin seeds and of course the OHI seasoning which was to die for. Then a splash of lemon or lime to set it in. Ahhhhh! After the class around 11:00 we would clean and have lunch. This consisted of raw veggies, Raw vegan sushi, sprouted mung and other sunflower sprouts and avocado! Yum I loved it. You feel so good eating this way. Sometime'ss I would get seconds, and of course I had the key to room 78. I would sneak in and put the extras on my lunch. Dinner was the same although more gracious portions. OHI tried so hard to make the meals tastier, without oil of salt. Sometimes I did put a little slash of olive oil and soy sauce. I just wanted water, that all . The ladies that I worked with kept telling me that I was losing a lot of weight. I felt the same, to me there was no difference. Although my attire was baggie. After three months of being at OHI I got on the scale and my weight was 160 pounds. What I lost 100 pounds in three months. After work I left to go clothing shopping. I went from a size 26 to a size 12. I bought all new clothing, and took pictures. Pictures posted are from 2004 at 160 pounds. My goal is to do the OHI program in my home and create an OHI in Marin.

(Slim Form Patch)Weight Loss patch

I saw this add that I could not resist. The Slim form patch(Weight loss Patch) Its made with Marine Algae and had a few news report on how effective it was. It states that it takes three days to go into your system. Its 12/14/09 and I will start my day with 30min on the treadmill and end it with Malibu pilates. Of course I will be using the marine Algae patch. We will see how it goes. This week I will be starting a new job (for only two weeks during Christmas season) So will be a little sidetracked. Hopefully not too much! Let me know if you can recommend something. Will be posting before pictures and the raw food recipes.

52 weeks and 110 pounds to give away!


My name is Lori. About four years ago I worked at the Optimum heath institute and stayed for five years. My weight was 160 pounds. I'm 5/4 so even 160 was heavy, although when I first arrived at OHI my weight was 260. Raw food was one of the best things I discovered. I met my sweet husband Yanni four years ago. I left my job at San Diego OHI and moved to San Francisco. There was so much to adjust to. My step son who was 4 moved in. Shortly after he was diagnosed with autism. We lived below my mother in law, shortly after she was diagnosed with a mental illness then had a stroke. My mother in law is from Greece and the best cook in the world. I love my sweet husband and together we make a good team. Although to my sadness I left my diet of mostly raw food. Now I find weight at 235 pound. Starting today, Dec 11th my goal in one year is to compete in a fitness competition. This would be using an all raw food and vegan diet. I will be researching daily for weight loss tips and body building tips that work. Then sharing them with you daily.
